![]() It's tough making that transition as she's grown accustomed to what she knows. The same is true with breast milk (as far as the ratios). ![]() The reasoning for trying the whole milk separate from the formula was so I'd know if my son would take whole milk or if I was going to have to slowly introduce it to him with the formula. Had he not taken it the advice was to mix the whole milk & formula together starting with a ratio of:ħ5% formula, 25% whole milk (so for an 8 oz bottle that'd be 6 oz formula, 2 oz whole milk) My son took the whole milk right away with no problems. I gave him a bottle of formula and a separate bottle of whole milk. I was told to offer a 2 oz bottle of whole milk in a bottle (as I was starting the transition when he was still getting a bottle of formula) during a feeding session. This is what my ped adivsed me to do but I'd check with your child's ped and see what they recommend. Keep it up and try your best not to get frustrated, which is very hard to do at times, I know. In your situation I would say if she's not drinking it at all and you just started it it's probably simply because it's a new taste. There reason why my son drinks 3 types of milk is simply a result of what's on sale (it gets costly buying organic milk). I don't think he notices the difference as he simply guzzles it down. ![]() *No significant difference has been shown between milk from rbST-treated & non rbST-treated cows.My son drinks this milk along with Stoneyfield Farms or Harris Teeter brand whole milk.
